Either
1. 副詞 (Adv.)
Either: 也
Either 的情況就是雖然和 too 一樣都是「也」的意思，但用法上正好相反，它會用在附加的句子中來附和一個否定的句子，需以 and 連接放在逗號後句子的末端，並配合 not 一起使用。
e.g. I can’t study English anymore, and William can’t either.
在某人提出否定的意見或陳述時，也可以以 either 加以認同。而 Me neither 屬正規的英語，是英式英語覺得唯一正確的讀法，不過，在美國當地也有許多人仍使用 “Me, either.” 來表示 “Me, neither.” 的意思。
A: I’ve never been to the States. 「我從沒去過美國。」
B: I haven’t either. / Neither have I. / Me neither. 「我也沒有。」
2. 形容詞 (Adj.)
Either: (兩種可能性的選擇）不是…就是 (兩者中)任何一個
- Either candidate would be ideal for the job. (這兩個人中的任意一個都是做這項工作的理想人選。
[小補充] 搭配單數還是複數?
將兩個人或兩個事物分別考慮時，用either 加單數名詞。
例子：Either way is acceptable.
3. 代名詞(Pron.)
Either: (兩者)其一
- Either of us is going to your party. (我們其中一個人會去你的派對。(另一個人不會)
4. 連接詞 (Conj.)
Either: 或者, 與OR連用
- We can either eat now or after the show. (我們可以現在吃飯，也可以在演出後吃。)
Neither
1. 副詞 (Adv.)
Neither: 也不
Neither 本身就有否定的意思，此時作副詞（Adverb），會以倒裝句的形式獨立成一個句子來認同某個否定的敘述 。
“Neither + be (do/ did/ will/ would/ should/ can/ …) + 主語”.
A: I’ve never been to the States. 「我從沒去過美國。」
B: Neither have I. / Me neither. 「我也沒有。」
2. 形容詞 (Adj.)
Neither: (兩者)皆不
- Neither one of us is interested in math. (我們之中沒有任何一個人對數學有興趣。)
[小補充] 搭配單數還是複數?
將兩個人或兩個事物分別考慮並加以否定時，用neither加單數名詞。
例子：In reality, neither party was enthusiastic.
3. 代名詞(Pron.)
Neither: (兩者)皆不
- Neither of my parents likes my boyfriend. (我爸媽都不喜歡我男友。)

Neither of 一般與複數動詞連用，但也可與單數動詞連用。
例子1: Neither of us was having any luck. (我們都沒有運氣。)
例子2: Neither of the children were there.(孩子都不在這裡。)
4. 連接詞 (Conj.)
Neither: 既不…也不, 與NOR連用
- I neither know nor care what happened to him. (我既不想知道也不在乎她發生了甚麼事。)
