Rule #1 : Lowercase Letters

Did you notice the lowercase letters in the table above? Unlike in English, capital letters are not required when you say the days of the week! (Except when they are the first word in the sentence).

Today is Monday, and tomorrow is Tuesday.

Rule #2 : Masculine Days

If you’ve started studying Spanish, you know that every word has either masculine or feminine articles, “el” or “la”. Lucky for you, all days of the week are masculine so that means each day of the week uses el or los for multiple days. Easy peasy.
